With our groundbreaking creativity, we're shaking up the world, both for our valued clients and for our own studio. We embrace clear objectives and don't shy away from challenges. That's why we're also taking a closer look at our own studio, because it's not all talk; it's also about polish. Check out the facts below. By 2024, business travel will have shifted from scope 2 to scope 3.

Save the seas to save the earth!
We're a graphic design agency just a short walk from the beach. As surfers, we're passionate about the ocean and a healthy environment. About 70% of the Earth's surface is covered by water, so we're convinced that a solution to climate change can be found there. Save the seas to save the Earth!
We offset our 2024 CO2 emissions by supporting SeaTrees in planting mangrove forests. SeaTrees is a program of Sustainable Surf. They plant, restore, and protect coastal ecosystems worldwide to combat climate change.

THE NUMBERS
behind the numbers
Electricity
5,934
kWh
Our studio is completely gas-free and uses green energy. We heat our studio with a heat pump and cook electrically. This means our electricity consumption is higher than average. By focusing even more on which appliances are unnecessarily consuming power, we reduced our consumption by 9.7% compared to 2019 and by 5.7% compared to 2021. In 2022, we managed to reduce our electricity consumption by 8.4% again. Unfortunately, our electricity consumption increased by 9.3% in 2023. We haven't yet figured out why. In 2024, we managed to reduce our electricity consumption by 4.7%.

Showers are available at our office. We like to start our day without salt after an intense surf session. This year, we used slightly less water than last year.

Cycling

In 2024, we cycled 7,102 km. That's slightly less than in 2023, but the main reason is that a team member moved closer to the studio.

In 2024, we drove 89% less than in 2023. This is our biggest reduction in CO2 emissions. Unfortunately, we had to skip our board meeting to achieve this.

What's cooking?
Every day we serve a homemade, vegetarian lunch. Think of a delicious dahl, surprising salads, or our all time favorite: lemon and red pepper pasta.
We cook with seasonal ingredients: fresh, often organic, and always meatless. Want to join us for a meal? Or curious about our favorite recipes? Feel free to ask; we're happy to share them!

IMPACT
highlights
In September, we visited In Motion Rotterdam. For two days, we immersed ourselves in talks by artists, animators, and pioneers. In Motion lived up to its name, and the movement wasn't limited to the animations on the screen. New trends? Check. Dancing illustrators? Double check. Wild afterparty? Yes. We saw things we wouldn't even dare describe here.
We returned with renewed inspiration, wise lessons and wild stories.

We also supported Stichting Noordzee with a financial contribution. They work every day to ensure a clean and healthy North Sea, the very spot where we regularly catch a wave.
Stichting Noordzee
Dutch beaches are special places. They are an important meeting place for people and nature and contribute to biodiversity in our country.
To support this, we donate to Stichting Duinbehoud, which is committed to managing coastal nature and restoring dune landscapes.

The sea should be accessible to everyone. The volunteers of the Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Institution ensure it remains a safe place. Just like last year, we are supporting the KNRM with an annual contribution.
If you want to know more about the heroic deeds of the KNRM, listen to the podcast Redders op zee .
