SUCCESSSES & STumbles of our work

As social as it is sustainable

In 2024, we worked on 48 sustainable projects, 37 social projects , and 46 projects that were both social and sustainable. We are convinced that a sustainable future is also an inclusive future, and vice versa. Therefore, we strive for a more balanced mix of sustainable and social projects, and preferably both.

total

In 2024, we worked on 131 projects for various clients. We check all projects to see if they have a sustainable or social purpose. Preferably both!

Awards won

Design for a social change

In 2024, we won two gold awards. Our design for Onboarding Nature took first place in the Social Responsibility category of the Creative Communication Awards. Our design for Code-V also won gold in the Branding for Social Change category at the Indigo Design Awards.

The art of not doing

We are relentlessly committed to our journey of substantive and creative impact towards a better world. We join forces exclusively with like-minded individuals committed to a fair, sustainable, and healthy world for everyone.

We assess all new clients to see if they share our mission. This can often be quite challenging, as most companies approach us with good intentions. You can read how we assess these companies in our 'Guidelines for Change'.

valuable
collaborations

Haagse Schatten

In 2024, we began preparations for the 2025 Hague Freedom Meals. It promises to be a special edition, as we celebrate 80 years of freedom in 2025! We are therefore thrilled to welcome our new communications partner and community manager: Haagse Schatten. With their love for the city and talent for bringing people and stories together, they are the perfect match for this project.

Videomatic

In 2024, we worked on a series of explainer videos for NP RES. It wasn't an easy task: how do you clearly present complex, abstract themes about energy, policy, and sustainability?

Luckily, we didn't have to do it alone. We brought in The VideoMatic for this project, and it turned out to be a match made in heaven. They're sharp on structure and video, we are on story and design. The collaboration left us wanting more, which is a good thing, because the next projects are already in the works.

Onboarding Nature

Together with B Lab, Nyenrode University and the Earth Law Center, we are working on Onboarding Nature: a groundbreaking project that helps companies give nature a place at the table.

After a successful launch in the Netherlands, Onboarding Nature is now expanding to Europe and the UK. We believe this project will spark a wave of positive change and are incredibly proud to contribute to this mission as a creative partner!

In search of the perfect plant-based foam

Cappuccinos are the fuel of our studio. Without foam, there's no inspiration. In 2023, we decided to do things differently: no more cow's milk, but plant-based. For the planet and for ourselves. But the hardest part was finding an alternative that met our expectations.

So in 2024, we enthusiastically bought a Mylky machine to make our own plant-based milk without additives, without waste and without cows.

The idea? Beautiful. The reality? Somewhat… uh, less so.

After countless batches, happy attempts, and clumpy cappuccinos, we still haven't found the recipe that gives us that full, frothy, barista-worthy latte.

So: do you have the golden recipe? Let us know and save our coffee breaks.

Online CO2 puzzle

Last year, we were shocked by the figures: our website turned out to be more polluting than we thought. Thanks to digitalbeacon.co, we were confronted with the painful truth: our score was "bad." Not exactly something to be proud of. Time for action.

We've since overhauled our website: it's now faster, lighter, and uses less energy. A great step forward. But just when we thought we were on the right track, a new challenge arose.

We're increasingly using AI tools like Midjourney and ChatGPT: powerful tools that improve and accelerate our work, but also consume energy. Servers are running at full capacity, computing power requires electricity, and that electricity doesn't always come from sustainable sources.

So now we face a new challenge: how do we compensate for the digital weight of AI? We don't know exactly how yet, but we do know we can't ignore it.
